As I was rummaging through the Biola Library for materials for an upcoming paper I need to write, I was drawn to the Video section. After all, the weekend is coming up.It is here that I realized that our humble library has an impressive collection of Alfred Hitchcock movies, some of them in their "restored" version.
Of course, my first pick is "Rear Window." Such a great movie for its technical excellence, minimalist plot and intelligent acting. Because this is the DVD era, you get the "Special Features" which are quite special.
I watched the documentary about the "restoration" of this film and in the process praising the genius of Sir Alfred Hitchcock whom they fondly call "Hitch."
If I did not lose my ID today (fell off my pocket as I was biking to the gym... argh!), I would have checked out "The Man Who Knew Too Much," then "The Trouble with Harry," then switch back to "Vertigo" and "North by Northwest." Do I dare watch "Psycho" again? Well, why not. There are worse things you can do than getting "Hitched" again.
P.S. The title of this BLOG is a tribute to my dear friend Missy, who, in a very different and more romantic way, is getting "hitched." Congratulations! This June, she is walking down the aisle in the manner of (Alfred Hitchcock's muse) Grace Kelly.

Dear Ting,
Many thanks for the special mention! I am so touched... =)))I wish that somehow you would make it to my big day.
Have you seen the remake of "Rear Window" starring the late Christopher Reeve?
Hugs,
Missy
